ATU Local 1576 Bargaining Update

Hello ATU Family,
Your bargaining team met on Wednesday, October 1st at the Everett Labor Temple. A big part of the day was focused on the advisory vote from coach operators around part-time and full-time seniority. Once that’s wrapped up, we’ll be drafting language that reflects your direction—and taking that to the table. Your voices are guiding this process every step of the way.
On the employer’s side, Community Transit spent a full day caucusing and sent over proposals on Article 6.1 – Seniority and Article 17 – Grievance and Arbitration. They plan to officially present those at our next session. We’ll be ready to review and respond, with our eyes on protecting fairness and strengthening the contract.
Our next bargaining session is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th at the Everett Labor Temple. We’ll keep pushing hard, standing strong, and keeping you updated as we move forward.
Together, we’re making sure this contract reflects the value of the work you do every day. Stay tuned, stay strong, and know that your bargaining team has your back.
In Solidarity,
Dani Julien
