Bargaining Update

Your bargaining team met today for a productive and engaging session focused on the Instructor group. The entire team including Instructor and bargaining team Member Shelby Moan was present at the table.  Community Transit representatives for the classification were the Director of Employee and Organizational Development, and the Manager of Training Instruction.

After thorough preparation sessions on December 8 and again this morning, we walked through our ATU proposal covering the priorities the unit brought forward including seniority, vacations, uniform guidelines, and two new articles on premium pay for CDL testing and the creation of an Acting Lead position.

The conversation was robust and constructive. Community Transit provided counters on many of our items and is continuing to develop responses to the remaining proposals.

Our next session is  scheduled for December 17 at Community Transit. At that meeting, CT plans to deliver counters for the Ride Store, as well as our newly proposed Technology article designed to ensure safeguards around the use and rollout of new and emerging technology.
