Community Transit/ATU Negotiations Update

Your bargaining team, consisting of President Bains, VP Perkins, Financial Secretary Harlan, and Recording Secretary Gamble, as well as Executive Board Officers Maxwell Lall, Eric Sullivan, and Rachel Villa met with the CT team today. We were joined by International Vice President Michael Cornelius, and 3 subject matter experts, Shelby Moan (Coach Operator Instructor), Alexander Arellano (Service Ambassador), and Cassidy Gamble (Sales and Distribution Specialist). CT presented responses on Articles 25, 29, 30, and 32. We were able to come to a Tentative Agreement on Article 29. We intend to counter specific sections of the other 3 at our next meeting.

Now that Community Transit has resolved various staffing issues, and our new officers have returned from training we resolved to get more dates on the calendar and meet more frequently so we can bring negotiations to a close and present it to the membership.

Our position remains firm: we intend to get the best contract for our members. Thank you for your continued support and solidarity.
