Steps for getting vaccinated

We continue to work with Snohomish County to secure priority access for our employees. However, if you are currently eligible for the vaccine, we encourage you to schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

Please follow these steps:

Work with your manager or scheduler to determine which days are best for you to schedule a vaccination so that it is on a day prior to two consecutive days off, should you need time to recover from any potential side effects. For many employees, this may be a Friday. If you need to schedule this appointment during your normal work shift, please give your manager or scheduler as much notice as possible so they can accommodate your absence.

Visit www.findyourphasewa.org to confirm your eligibility and print out your confirmation paperwork. Some vaccination sites may ask for this paperwork.

Then visit http://bit.ly/snocovaccine to learn where vaccines are available near you and schedule an appointment if there is one available. There are a number of ways to get the vaccine, including through your doctor, your local pharmacy, or county-run vaccine sites. If an appointment is not immediately available, please continue to check back as new appointments are added often.

Once you been fully vaccinated, please notify your Employee Engagement representative. This will help us maintain a healthy workplace. Proof of vaccination or other paperwork is not required. Please note that those receiving either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine will need two doses that are spaced several weeks apart. If you receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, only one dose is necessary.

In the rare circumstance an employee has a reaction and is not feeling well, they should request additional time off as may be necessary through normal department procedures. If you need additional days due to a vaccine reaction, using COVID-19 Leave is acceptable if you have an existing balance. This includes initial and 2nd dose vaccinations.
