CT Member Update Re: Swift Orange Line Shooting in August
I wanted to follow up with you all regarding the August 16 shooting at the Swift Orange line stop in Mill Creek. When this first happened, I shared the information we had at the time, now there is an important update:
The city of Mill Creek has confirmed that all suspects involved have been arrested, thanks to the diligent work of multiple law-enforcement agencies. See Press Release below.
While this doesn't undo the fear caused by the escalating acts of violence in our communities, it's an important step toward ensuring accountability for these crimes.

Arrests Made in August 16th Swift Orange Line Shooting
On August 16, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers from the Mill Creek Police Department (MCPD) responded to reports of a shooting at the Swift Orange Line transit stop located in the 800 block of 164th Street SE.
Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and collected critical evidence that aided in the subsequent investigation. Through coordinated efforts and investigative work, Mill Creek Police identified five individuals—four juveniles and one adult—who were directly involved in the shooting. With the assistance of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Violent Offenders Task Force, and the MCPD, all suspects have been taken into custody.
The suspects face multiple charges, including:
Assault in the First Degree
Malicious Mischief in the First and Second Degree
Unlawful Transit Conduct
Reckless Endangerment
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
Resisting Arrest
"I would like to thank the MCPD Investigations Unit, especially Det. White, for their commitment to closing this case," said Chief Stan White. "I would also like to thank Sgt. Dill and the members of the Snohomish County Violent Offenders Task Force for their assistance and perseverance in apprehending the suspects."
The case has been forwarded to the Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office.
