Day 2: ATU 60th International Convention

The second day of the ATU 60th International Convention in Las Vegas, NV, featured engaging speakers and numerous convention committee reports to set a vision for the future of our Union.
International President John Costa kicked off the day thanking delegates for their leadership along with a video recap of day one before getting to convention business.
The speakers delivering messages of solidarity and support to our Union, convention, and delegates were New Jersey State AFL-CIO President Charlie Wowkanech, Canadian Labour Congress President Bea Bruske, United Farm Workers President Teresa Romero, and Labor Council for Latin Advancement President Yanira Moreno.
The day also included important convention business as committees gave their reports to set the course for our Union to tackle the challenges over the next three years. The committees giving their reports to the convention were Credentials, Appeals, Next Generation, Maintenance, Paratransit, Operations Workforce Development, and the International Secretary-Treasurer’s Report. Convention delegates unanimously adopted all the committee reports.
