Your ATU 1576 Bargaining Team met with Island Transit on Aug. 12–13 for two productive days. We signed three Tentative Agreements:

    •    Article 44 – Accidents: +$500 to Minor & Moderate accident categories (to cover higher costs for mirror strikes).

    •    Article 38 – Retirement Plans: Adds 401(a) Plan, as already approved by Island Transit Board.

    •    Article 6 – LMRC Meetings: Union Reps will be paid to attend.

Next sessions: September (at Whidbey base & virtual if needed). Momentum is strong—both sides are showing up ready to move forward.

We’re keeping wages as our top priority and haven’t lost sight of what members said matters most. Thanks to everyone who came to the July 20 Coupeville Library meeting to review our full proposal.
