Community Transit Colleagues,

Community Transit has updated the Employee Policy on Preventing and Addressing COVID-19. In addition, there are new policies affecting contractors, visitors and customers. All policies are designed to provide a long-term path forward as the virus continues to evolve in our community. Following are highlights from the employee policy; please review the full policy for a detailed explanation on these topics and more:

  • 40 hours of COVID-19 Supplemental Leave
  • Five-day quarantine and isolation policy
  • Testing requirements
  • Obligation to notify Employee Engagement when testing positive
  • Employee requirement to provide documentation showing proof of vaccination for any future COVID-19 shot, including booster
  • Confidential retention of vaccine documentation by Employee Engagement
  • Job roles that require KN95 masks starting February 1 (All employees required to wear a KN95 mask through the end of January)
  • Guidelines for serving food at meetings/events
  • Social visitors allowed starting February 15
  • Safety measures for employee travel

In addition to the employee policy, the three other COVID-19 policies related to contractors, visitors and customers are now in effect. These new policies include:

  • Vaccination requirement for most visitors starting February 15
  • Vaccination requirement for most contractors starting February 15
  • Face masks requirement for contractors regardless of vaccination status, and subject to current case counts in the community

There are two ways to access these four policies:

  • To view the policies on Interact, go to Interact > Documents > Policies (bottom of the page).

To get the most up-to-date information about COVID-19, including policies, install Interact on your phone by texting “interact” to 75189 or go to interact.communitytransit.org on your desktop.
